PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical instrument design production support system, capable of designing a musical instrument of timbre desired to be obtained and a timbre experience system which enables a user to experience the influence that respective parts exert to the timbre. PSOLUTION: The musical instrument design production support system is equipped with an input means which selects a design from among sample designs related to the parts constituting the musical instrument, produces the musical instrument design and outputs sounds, and selects an arbitrary design or inputs the design, a display means which displays the design, a sound output means which outputs timbre during the course of producing the musical instrument design; and after the end of the production, a timbre memory means which stores the parts constituting the musical instrument, combinations of the parts, or the corresponding relation data of the design over the entire part of the musical instrument and the timbre, and a timbre output control means which outputs the timbre data by the sound output means.
