PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and easy preparation method capable of preparing a multilayer orientation film of liquid-crystalline organic molecules without using an orientation-inducing layer with a different material and of preparing an identical or akin multilayer orientation film of organic molecules by a solution process.;SOLUTION: The multilayer orientation film of the liquid-crystalline organic molecules is the one in which, on the oriented polymer thin film layer having been formed into the oriented film by the friction transfer method, there is formed a thin film layer of the liquid-crystalline organic molecules that has the same orientation as the oriented polymer thin film. The polymer is preferably a homopolymer of organic compounds having a conjugated system in the molecule or a copolymer therefrom. The preparation method of the multilayer orientation film with the liquid-crystalline organic molecules comprises forming by using the friction transfer method a friction transfer thin film in which a solid polymer is oriented, coating a solution of the liquid-crystalline organic molecules in a solvent on the obtained oriented polymer thin film layer, then heating up to the liquid crystal phase temperature of the liquid-crystalline organic molecules and then cooling, to form the thin film in which the liquid-crystalline organic molecules of the upper layer has the same orientation with the oriented film of the lower layer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
