PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive quantity detecting sensor not requiring a long time until administration for radioactive quantity measurement, a method of measuring radioactive quantity using the sensor, and a radioactive chemical automatic administration device, in automatic administration of a radioactive chemical capable of preventing a medical person from being exposed.;SOLUTION: This radioactive quantity detecting sensor 19 has an annular scintillator 49 stored with a vial bottle 3 storing the liquid radioactive chemical in a radiation shielding container 13, and for covering an annular area of a shoulder part 11 in the vial bottle 3, under the condition where a lid of the radiation shielding container 13 is removed. A photomultiplier 52 is connected to an end part of a light guide connected to an outer circumference of the scintillator 49, and outer faces of the scintillator 49 and the light guide are coated with a reflecting material 59. A radioactive quantity in the vial bottle 3 is detected before the radioactive chemical is sucked into a syringe 25 through an extraction needle 7 pierced into an opening part 5 of the vial bottle 3, a radioactive quantity therein is detected after sucked, and a difference between the former and the latter is calculated to measure the actual radioactive quantity of the administered radioactive chemical.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
