METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REMOVING NITRATE NITROGEN IN INDUSTRIAL WASTE WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for removing nitrate nitrogen in industrial waste water where the process of removing nitrate nitrogen from industrial waste water can be remarkably low-costed/made efficient compared with the conventional case.;SOLUTION: Regarding the method and device for removing nitrate nitrogen in industrial water water, using residual dross after thermal spraying with an aluminum-containing metal as a thermal spraying material, nitrate radicals and nitrite radicals comprised in industrial waste water are decomposed/removed in an alkaline liquid. The residual dross is preferably the one after plasma spraying with an aluminum-containing metal as a thermal spraying material. Further, the decomposition/removal of nitrate radicals and nitrite radicals using the residual dross from the industrial waste water are desirably performed in a denitrification tank whose pH is held to ≥12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
