PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaning filter constituted so as to impart the functions of a conventional dust collecting filter and a conventional photocatalyst filter to one filter and capable of contributing to the miniaturization of an air cleaner, and the air cleaner using it.;SOLUTION: Photocatalyst layers are formed on the surfaces of fibers of a nonwoven fabric 2 formed by entangling fibers so as to form a large number of fine gaps and each of the photocatalyst layers is formed by forming a titanium oxide layer 5, of which the crystal form is anatase, on a titanium oxide layer 4 of which the crystal form is amorphous. By arranging the air cleaning filter 1 in an air flow channel, the functions of the conventional dust collecting filter and the conventional photocatalyst filter can be imparted to one filter.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
