PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a field emitter electrode capable of improving distribution density and uniformity of a carbon nanotube emitter by using a substrate surface-treated so as to provide nucleation sites; and to provide a field emitter electrode manufactured thereby.;SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing a field emitter electrode comprises steps of: preparing a plating solution containing carbon nanotubes dispersed therein; immersing a positive electrode and a negative electrode including a substrate which has been surface-treated so as to provide nucleation sites for the carbon nanotubes, in the plating solution; and applying a predetermined voltage between the negative and positive electrodes so as to form a carbon nanotube-metal plating layer on the substrate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
