PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a ferrous sintered member where not only strength and machinability can be realized at high level but also these properties can be imparted only to separate required parts.;SOLUTION: When infiltration materials obtained by molding metal powder are mounted at least on a part of a powder molding of powder for a ferrous sintered member or a sintered compact obtained by heating the powder molding, and the powder molding or sintered compact mounted with the infiltration materials is sintered at a temperature higher than the diffusing temperature of carbon and also at a temperature higher than the melting point of the infiltration materials, the powder for a ferrous sintered member is composed of powder obtained by adding boron oxide of 0.01 to 1.0 mass% and graphite powder of 0.1 to 2.0 mass% in a blending ratio to a ferrous powdery mixture other than graphite powder from a powdery mixture for a ferrous sintered material having a pearlitic structure after sintering, and the metal powder is composed of copper powder or copper alloy powder.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
