PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a transgenic mouse capable of simultaneously measuring gene transcription activities of two clock genes by using secreted type and non-secreted type luciferases. PSOLUTION: This transgenic mouse is created so that two luciferase genes which are under the control of promoters of the two clock genes exhibiting opposite phases to each other and comprising clock gene period 1 (per1) and clock gene Bmal 1 are incorporated in the mouse, wherein Cypridina luciferase gene of secreted type as one of the luciferase genes is combined with one of the clock genes under the control of the promotor thereof and Luciola luciferase gene of the non-secreted type as the other of the luciferase genes is combined with the other of the clock genes under the control of the promotor thereof, so that expressions of the two clock genes are monitored by the luciferase of the secreted type and the luciferase of the non-secreted type in the transgenic mouse.
