PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell having a surface with high capability of discharging condensate even if the pressure loss of the supply gas is low, and to provide a polymer electrolyte fuel cell using the separator for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell, and a method of evaluating the separator for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell. PSOLUTION: The separator for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell contains electrically conductive carbon and a binder that binds the electrically conductive carbon. Reaction gas passages 30C, 40C are formed on one of main surfaces. A water droplet falling angle of the surfaces of the passages 30C, 40C is not smaller than 5 degrees and not greater than 45 degrees when a water droplet of not less than 50 l and not more than 80 l is dropped under a condition in which the ambient temperature is not lower than 50 C and not higher than 90 C and the ambient relative humidity is not lower than 70% and not higher than 100%.
