摘要

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular water-absorbing material excellent in biodegradability and water-holding property. PSOLUTION: This granular water-holding material is provided by containing 5-50 mass% range calcium compound based on the solid portion of the water-absorbing resin and having 10% biodegradability measured by a revised MITI method. By the presence of the calcium compound in the vicinity of the surface of the water-absorbing resin, the material exhibits excellent calcium supplying capacity and also water-holding property without lowering its water-absorbing magnitude.
