PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for working perforation for vertical division and cutoff in a bound book of saddle stitch specification capable of working perforation for cutoff by a working step (in-line) by a printing/folding machine.;SOLUTION: In the method for working perforation for cutoff to provide perforation 6 for cutoff to vertically divide a bound book 5 of saddle stitch in the bound book 5 of saddle stitch to be constituted by performing overlapping saddle stitch of a signature 4 formed by folding one print paper 1 along folding lines, the perforation 6 for cutoff is formed by determining the position of a perforation hole 7A closest to a final folding line K out of perforation holes 7 to constitute perforation 6 for cutoff with the final folding line K as reference in a print paper 1A in a step before the final folding of the print paper 1, and continuously forming the perforation holes 7 across the final folding line K in the direction orthogonal to the final folding line K.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
