PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoding system of mode S transponder transmitted signal and a decoding method for mode-S transponder transmitted signal, capable of accurately decoding signals transmitted from a mode-S transponder. PSOLUTION: The system is provided with a differential processing section 43 which performs differential processing to mode S transponder transmitted signal, a correlation operation section 44 calculating the degree of correlation between rise rate and fall rate of the intensity in the differential processed signals, a pulse regenerator section 45 for regenerating pulse, based on the degree of correlation obtained by the correlation operation, a pulse phase synchronization section 46 performing gate processing and phase synchronization processing to the regenerated pulse and a pulse decoding section 47 decoding the mode S transponder transmitted signal, based on the pulse which the gate processing and the phase synchronization processing are performed.
