PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition for carbon fiber-reinforced composite material which becomes a matrix resin providing a fishing rod and a shaft for golf excellent in feeling and having good mechanical properties, a prepreg using the resin composition and a tubular body made of carbon fiber-reinforced composite material, obtained by using the prepreg and excellent in various kinds of characteristics. PSOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition comprises an epoxy resin and a curing agent. In the epoxy resin composition, glass transition temperature Tg measured when cured at 100C to 140C is 100C and the flexural modulus E (100C) of a resin cured product cured for 2 hr at 100C and the flexural modulus E (140C) cured for 2 hr at 140C satisfy the formula (1): E(100C) - E(140C)0.3[GPa].
