PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remotely monitor vibration of a measuring object not easy for a person to approach or a radiation dosage in the vicinity thereof, using a TV camera or the like. PSOLUTION: This vibration monitoring system for remote monitor of the vibration of the measuring object has a piezoelectric element 8, a light emitting element 9, a conversion circuit 10, and a monitor for monitoring flashing of the light emitting element 9 at a remote site. The piezoelectric element 8 is fixed at least partially onto the measuring object, and is deformed to generate electromotive force, when the measuring object is vibrated. The conversion circuit 10 is provided with a detector 17, a capacitor 18 and a voltage comparator 19 connected in series to the piezoelectric element 8 and the light emitting element 9, and the electromotive force in the piezoelectric element is converted into a flashing period for the light emitting element 9.
