PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion protecting method of a metallic material, a highly corrosion-resistant metallic material, and its manufacturing method in which the highly corrosion-resistant metallic material can withstand a severe corrosive environment of the same degree as that of a conventional zinc-coating, zinc-rich paint, the electric corrosion protecting method or the like, any rare metal resources such as zinc are not used, any harmful metal such as chromium is not used, and any rectifier, transformer or the like is not required.;SOLUTION: The corrosion protecting method of a metallic material for preventing corrosion of a metallic material comprises a step of depositing a covered layer on a surface of the metallic material. The covered layer comprises an insertion material in which alkaline metal ions and/or alkaline earth metal ions are inserted, and has electronic conductivity. It also has the characteristic of permeating alkaline metal ions and/or alkaline earth metal ions.
