PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external skin care preparation intended for skin bleaching, prevention of skin aging such as wrinkling, and body shape-up such as slimming.;SOLUTION: The external skin care preparation intended for skin bleaching, prevention of skin aging such as wrinkling, and body shape-up such as slimming contains not more than 10.0 wt.% ubiquinol (reduced ubiquinone, reduced ubidecarenone, or reduced coenzyme Q10) prepared by reduction with a reducing agent which is at least one member selected from among ascorbic acid, erythorbic acid, sodium thiosulfate, sodium bisulfite, and derivatives thereof. Ubiquinone is commonly used in an external skin care preparation which prevents skin aging. Ubiquinol has a lower oxidation-reduction potential than ubiquinone and is therefore more effective in skin bleaching, prevention of skin aging such as wrinkling, and body shape-up such as slimming.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
