PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system for a parallel distributed processing device and an authentication method for the parallel distributed processing device for conducting parallel distributed processing after authenticating rightness of a master device and a slave device, when starting the parallel distributed processing, in a parallel distributed processing system.;SOLUTION: In this authentication system for the parallel distributed processing device, the master device is provided with a means for generating an authentication function to be registered in the master device and the slave device, when installing a parallel processing system, for generating a random reference value, when starting the parallel distributed processing, to be substituted in the authentication function registered in the master device and the slave device, for calculating thereby a master authentication value and a slave authentication value, and for collating the both to allow the execution of the parallel distributed processing only when a result thereof is conformed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
