PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control system suitable for promoting the understanding of presentation. PSOLUTION: A projector 200 acquires explanation information from among content data when explanation information including the interpretation of an object term whose retrieval is requested by an auditor is included in content data, and acquires the pertinent explanation information from among dictionary data when the explanation information is included not in the content data but in the dictionary data, and acquires the explanation information from a dictionary server 300 when the explanation information is not included even in the dictionary data. Then, page data added with the acquired explanation information are generated, and the generated page data are transmitted to display equipment 100.
