PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage the route information and state of a network for paths used for accessing a storage device; to determine whether restoration is possible by re-routing with a network device when a trouble occurs in the network to adequately change paths in a system having redundant paths. PSOLUTION: A management server 101 manages the composition information and route information of a network as the information on paths used for storage access. When an access path is redundant, the management server 101 obtains, from a network device 104, trouble information and information that routes are being reconfigured in the network 105, and determines whether to change paths is necessary. When the change of the paths is necessary, the management server 101 notifies a host computer 102 and a storage device 103 of the necessity, and each device changes the paths.
