PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram recording and reproducing apparatus or the like in which reproducibility when an optical recording medium is irradiated with reference light can be improved.;SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a recording and reproducing optical system 20 guiding information light and/or reference light to the optical recording medium 1, a spatial light modulator 40 arranged at an optical path of this recording and reproducing optical system 20 and generating information light by modulating spatially a part of the light guided through this recording and reproducing optical system 20, a quadrant photodetector 58 or the like detecting mutual first positional deviation of the recording and reproducing optical system 20 and the spatial light modulator 40 using light for detecting first positional deviation, and a first correction circuit 59 or the like correcting this first positional deviation based on the first positional deviation detected by the quadrant photodetector 58 or the like.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
