PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color shift correction method, a color shift correction apparatus, and a color shift correction medium, capable of optimally correcting a white gap by automatically detecting the white gap through the scanning of a print result and determining a trap width and a trapping target object therefrom in order to properly suppress the white gap. PSOLUTION: A system for automatically detecting the white gap from a result of print so as to correct the white gap in order to prevent the white gap at printing includes the steps of: scanning the print result and converting the scanned print into an image; detecting a same color region as paper; discriminating whether or not the same color region is the white gap; and determining setting items of trapping and carrying out the trapping.
