PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor having a self-boosting function, a self-boosting method and a forming method of the image sensor. PSOLUTION: At least, one of a transmission transistor and a drive transistor in the CMOS image sensor, has a conductive film pattern on its gate with an insulating film interposed therein. Thus, a voltage applied to the conductive film pattern is coupled to the transmission gate of the transmission transistor and the drive gate of the drive transistor. Accordingly, since not only the voltage applied to the transmission gate is applied to the transmission gate, but also the coupling voltage by the conduction film pattern is additionally applied there, there is no need for a separate high-voltage generating circuit. Since the coupling voltage by the conductive film pattern is applied to the drive gate, the dynamic range of the image sensor can be improved. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
