PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gradation correction definition generating device capable of correcting gradation to desired gradation and generating gradation a correction definition wherein gradation correction through which gray easy to correct coloring is obtained is defined, and a gradation correction definition generating program which makes a computer operate as the gradation correction definition generating device. PSOLUTION: The gradation correction definition generating device is equipped with a linear LUT generation section 504 which generates three color gradation correction definitions 602 to 604 by receiving gray gradation characteristics GT from a gray gradation setting section 530 generating the desired gray gradation characteristics GT in response to user's operation and converting the gray gradation characteristics GT into the three color gradation correction definitions 602 to 604 wherein gradation corrections for gradations of three colors C, M, and Y are defined so that the three colors C, M, and Y are naturally balanced.
