PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate frame data at an increased speed, wherein the data is used when spacial light modulation elements are moved relative to a predetermined scanning direction with respect to a drawing screen, the frame data is sequentially input to the spacial modulation elements in accordance with the movement to the scanning direction, and an image composed of many drawing points is formed on the drawing screen by sequentially forming drawing point groups along the time line.;SOLUTION: In a storage means, stored drawing point data can be sequentially read in a direction in which addresses thereof are continuous. In the storage means, drawing point data is stored so that the arrangement direction of stored drawing point data which is drawn in the scanning direction in the time line and corresponds to respective drawing points matches the direction in which the addresses are continuous. The drawing point data stored in the storage means is sequentially read in the direction in which the addresses are continuous.
