PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable ON/OFF control of a high frequency amplifier with inexpensive composition. PSOLUTION: The high frequency amplifier is provided with an amplifying circuit and a gain control circuit where gain is controllable by an operational means at least. The gain control circuit is constituted so that it may set the amount of loss according to control voltage in the transmission line of high frequency signal, a voltage-control type gain control circuit may be installed so as to reduce the gain of a high frequency incoming signal for output, and the voltage control may be performed by varying the resistant value of the variable resistor with a switch enabling ON/OFF control by the operational means. The amplifying circuit carries out power supply via the switch with which the gain control circuit is equipped.
