PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure sensing device capable of reducing the processing load and provide a failure information output device, a failure information output method, a vehicle control device and a vehicle control method capable of preventing an object to be sensed involving a failure from being left unrepaired.;SOLUTION: When an ECU side control part 12 executes a sensing program for a water temperature sensor 21 and a failure sensing part 15 senses that the water temperature sensor 21 is failed, the ECU side control part 12 prohibits execution of the sensing program of a vehicle speed sensor 24 able to make error sensing resulting from a failure in the water temperature sensor 21 on the basis of the failure associated information stored in a ROM 13, so that execution of the sensing program of the vehicle speed sensor 24 is not necessary, being different from a conventional technique which executes the sensing programs of the water temperature sensor 21 and vehicle speed sensor 24 irrespective of existence or none of failure in the water temperature sensor 21.
