PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontally openable/closable curtain system, which serves for energy-saving by eliminating a gap between the lower edge of a curtain and the floor to shut off cold air when it is shut, thereby keeping the interior residential environment favorable and preventing the dissipation of heat.;SOLUTION: In the horizontally openable/closable curtain system, the curtain is lowered to eliminate the gap between its lower edge and the floor surface when the system is closed, and after the curtain is raised to provide the gap between the floor and the lower edge of the curtain, the curtain is opened for shutting off airflow under the curtain when it is closed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
