PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hull strength evaluating method and a hull strength evaluating system, capable of efficiently evaluating the strength of a hull receiving underwater explosion of a torpedo or a mine by practical scale calculation.;SOLUTION: To a coupled model M1 of a structure model M11 simulating a hull to be evaluated and a fluid model M12, a fluid model simulating underwater explosion is produced. The maximum loads Lm1, Lm2 generated on the hull is calculated. A hull local part structure model M2 simulating a partial structure of the hull to be evaluated detects a breaking part due to the underwater explosion. To a remaining structure model M3 simulating a remaining cross-sectional structure considering the breaking part, the maximum load capacity Lr1, Lr2 is calculated. The maximum load Lm1, Lm2, and the load capacity Lr1, Lr2 are compared, thereby evaluating whether the hull to be evaluated collapses or not due to the underwater explosion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
