PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an anti-influenza virus agent exhibiting a high inhibitory effect on the infection of influenza virus and free from side effects, by using an extract of a plant with high safety and daily usable with a safe conscience, and to provide an infection inhibiting article and food and drink having the anti-influenza virus effect. PSOLUTION: This invention relates to the anti-influenza virus agent and the infection inhibiting article and food and drink containing the same comprising one or two or more kinds of plant extracts selected from Citrus spp., Uncaria tomentosa, Myrica cerifera, Ruta graveolens, Helichrysum italicum, Tilia cordata, Pimenta officinalis, Theobroma cacao, Chaenomeles sinensis and Pseudocydonia sinensis, as active ingredient.
