PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cation-dyeable flame-retardant polyester fiber giving a fashionable flame-retardant woven or knit fabric free from generation of toxic gas in burning at a low cost and provide a flame-retardant woven or knit fabric.;SOLUTION: The cation-dyeable flame-retardant polyester fiber contains a phosphorus compound in an amount to attain a phosphorus atom content of 500-50,000 ppm and having an LOI (limiting oxygen index) value of ≥26. The flame-retardant woven or knit fabric contains the cation-dyeable flame-retardant polyester fiber and has an LOI value of ≥26. The invention further provides a method for the production of the cation-dyeable flame-retardant polyester fiber and the flame-retardant woven or knit fabric and a textile product containing the flame-retardant woven or knit fabric.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
