PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a vaporization type humidifier sanitarily by preventing occurrence of abnormal odor or the like by adhesion of bacteria or the like to the vaporization type humidifier and growth of it.;SOLUTION: In the vaporization type humidifier, a water absorbing header 2 is disposed in the upper part of a humidifying material 1 made of water absorbing material, water is dropped from the water absorbing header 2 and fed to the humidifying material 1, and the water is converted to humidifying air by a circulation air passing the humidifying material 1. In the sterilization method, silver ions are mixed into feed water to sterilize the humidifying material. In the sterilization and vaporization type humidifier, the silver ion generator 3 is disposed in a feed water pipe 4 connected with the feed water header 2, the silver ions generated by the silver ion generator 3 are mixed into the feed water to sterilize the humidifying material 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
