ROCK BED SLOPE STABILITY EVALUATION METHOD BY REMOTE OBSERVATION AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rock bed slope stability evaluation method and a device therefor, with evaluation accuracy enhanced by using surface temperature of a reference body measured by remote observation and surface temperature of a rock bed slope at respective points thereof, and with meticulous evaluation performed at respective points of the bed slope. PSOLUTION: A photographic survey is performed by a camera 5 for survey to calculate incline data at respective points of the rock bed slope, changes of the surface temperature with time at the respective points are measured by a thermal infrared imaging device 7 to calculate an RIT ratio or an mm ratio, and reflection spectra at the respective points are measured by a spectroscopic image photographing device 6 to calculate a b* value. Approximate values on elastic wave velocities at the respective points are calculated from the calculated b* value and the RIT ratio (or the mm ratio) by an empirical formula while calculating approximate values on ultrasonic velocities at the respective points from the b* value by an empirical formula. Evaluation on stability of the bed slope at the respective points is performed from the approximate values and incline data thus found. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
