PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that sets a toner density sensor to the optimal operation point with respect to each of a plurality of stirring velocity to thereby achieve highly accurate detection of toner density.;SOLUTION: A developing device 200 is disclosed which includes a developing tank 2 for containing two-component developer, the toner density sensor 22 and a toner cartridge 42 and further includes a control section 300 for inputting a control voltage (Vc) for correcting a sensor output to the toner density sensor 22. The control section sets the control voltage (Vc), by using a standard control voltage set so as to correspond to each of the stirring velocities, so that a sensor output (Vo) has a value within a range indicative of of predetermined toner density for each of the stirring velocities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
