PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanner device with an alternation preventing function for selecting a primary time signature station (server) according to the significance of scan document data, and for improving access property to the time signature station and a document management system equipped with the scanner device. PSOLUTION: This document management system 10 is provided with a scanner device 23 for preparing scan document data 26 by reading such a storage requirement document such as a contract and a request for managerial decision, a plurality of primary time signature servers 15 and 20 for operating time signature to the prepared scan document data, and for making different the reliability of the time signature, a server selecting means for selectively designating the specific primary time signature server from the among the plurality of primary signature servers according to the significance of the scan document data and a document management server 14 for receiving and storing scan document data 27 time-signatured by the primary time signature server.
