PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general calculation formula on breaking, bearing power and allowable unit stress of the improved ground.;SOLUTION: As a calculation method on breaking and allowable unit stress of the improved ground, an analysis method based on stress dispersion width using an equivalent elastic theory which is a hybrid method jointly using an equivalent elastic modulus method and an equivalent conversion thickness method based on examination on shearing, dispersed breaking and squeeze-up breaking in the improved ground, is proposed to clarify the relation between a breaking mode and a bearing power coefficient. In regard to the improved ground, the original ground is classified into sandy soil and cohesive soil, and allowable unit stress considering the effects of depth from the ground surface to the foundation bottom face, depth from the ground surface to the improved ground bottom face, depth from the ground surface to the underground water surface, a lower soil layer of the improved ground bottom face, and the stress dispersion width is presented to propose the general calculation formula on the breaking, bearing power and allowable unit stress of the improved ground.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
