PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform distributed consignment for most efficient print processing by grasping states of other devices connected to a network if print processing is requested from a client device to an image processing apparatus via the network. PSOLUTION: If a user requests printing from the client device 12 to the image processing apparatus 14 and it is determined that the request is too heavy to process printing only in the image processing apparatus 14, the acquisition of information is requested to a server device 16, another image processing apparatus 13 or the like for acquiring information about present states, resource and throughput for distributed processing. If such information is acquired from the server device 16 or the other image processing apparatus 13, the image processing apparatus 14 selects the server device 16 with which processing can be entrusted with optimal efficiency, from the acquired information, and print processing is performed by entrusting image processing in distributed manner.
