PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device to manufacture an ND filter which can be formed into a thin film, has a flat spectroscopic characteristic in each density and can improve uniformity of the light quantity, an ND filter, a light quantity diaphragm device and a camera having the light quantity diaphragm device.;SOLUTION: In manufacturing the ND filter provided with a film having gradation density distribution on a substrate 1, a substrate heating mechanism, that heats the substrate, is arranged on a substrate jig 2, on which the substrate is mounted to form the film, and the film is formed by heating the substrate so that the temperature change of the substrate is made continuous along an arbitrary direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
