PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtering rule changing method in a firewall server, the firewall server, and a program for precluding the possibility of execution of unintended communication even when a setting change of network information is carried out without interrupting communication held so far and a malicious third party executes setting change of the network information.;SOLUTION: When the settings of the network information is changed, a network setting revision means 123 instructs a packet filter section 122 to shift to an interruption mode for entirely shutting off the communication. Further, the network setting revision means 123 urges an administrator 11 to review the filtering rule. The administrator 11 receiving it uses a rule changing means 120 to correct the filtering rule managed by a filtering rule management section 121.
