PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determining method of a position of a segment boundary in a data stream. PSOLUTION: In this determining method, (a) one or more similarity values are determined by comparing the data subset in the data stream with one or more data subsets selected from a group of present and future data subsets, and one or more similarity values are determined, wherein the future data subset occurs later than the data subset in the data stream in terms of time, and the present data subset occurs simultaneously with the data subset in the data stream, (b) and one or more sets of the similarity values are classified.
