PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital mobile communication system capable of automatically detecting whether a mobile station is inside or outside the communication area of a radio base station and switching a radio carrier, and a mobile station radio device.;SOLUTION: In the digital mobile communication system composed of the radio base station and a plurality of the mobile station radio devices, the mobile station radio device comprises: a reception part; an electric field strength detection part for detecting the electric field strength of radio waves from the radio base station, which are received in the reception part; a transmission part; a frequency synthesizer for controlling the reception frequency of the reception part and the transmission frequency of the transmission part; and a control part for controlling the reception part, the transmission part and the frequency synthesizer. The control part is constituted so as to change the frequency of the frequency synthesizer on the basis of the detection output of the electric field strength detection part for detecting the electric field strength of the radio waves from the radio base station.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
