PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal fixation device for treating a fracture of the distal end of a radius which prevents displacement of a plate caused by the plate slipping on the surface of a bone in a case that rotational force strongly acts on the distal end of the radius.;SOLUTION: This internal fixation device for the fracture of the distal end of the radius for fixating a fracture site of the distal end of the radius comprises the plate which is curved to conform to the anatomical configuration of the distal end, is applied to the surface of the radius across the fracture site, and is fixed to the radius with screws and a peg inserted inside the radius from the plate. The plate has an appropriate number of screw inserting holes and at least two spigot joints each with a penetrating hole. The screws are screwed inside the radius from the screw inserting holes, and the spigot joints are fit in a pocket formed on the radius. Then, the plate is fixed on the radius by inserting the peg in the radius from the penetrating hole.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
