PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sterilized mushroom-bed composition for mushroom culture enabling drastic reduction in equipment costs and energy costs.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the sterilized mushroom-bed composition for mushroom culture comprising sawdust powder as a main material, at least one kind of nutritious components of wheat bran, rice bran, pulverized corn and pulverized soybean, and water, comprises the following process: a nutritious-component sterilizing process comprising adding water and hydrogen peroxide to the nutritious components and mixing them together to bring them contact with one another; a sawdust-powder sterilizing process of adding sawdust powder to the product obtained in the nutritious-component sterilizing process to bring them contact directly with normal pressure steam while stirring them, and heating the mixture up to ≥60°C; and a cooling process of cooling the product obtained in the sawdust-powder sterilizing process through bringing the product into direct contact with sterilized cool air while stirring them. The nutritious-component sterilizing process, the sawdust-powder sterilizing process and the cooling process can be performed in series in a same sealed mixer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
