OFDM SIGNAL RECEIVER AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING COMMON PHASE ERROR UTILIZING DATA SUBCARRIER

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OFDM signal receiver in which system performance is improved by estimating CPE utilizing not only a pilot subcarrier but also a data subcarrier which is further highly reliably determined by a DD estimation algorithm. PSOLUTION: The OFDM signal receiver comprises: an equalizer for compensating for a distortion of a received baseband signal; a channel evaluation unit for estimating channel characteristics from the received baseband signal to generate, as a CSI, information concerning an excellent subcarrier index; and a CPE estimation unit for estimating an excellent pilot subcarrier and an excellent data subcarrier by the CSI so as to compute the second CPE from the estimated data subcarrier.
