PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for creating plate-making data on which plate-making processing of overprint, which does not depend on a plate-making data imaging device, can be performed. PSOLUTION: The overprint plate-making data creating device is provided with an object separating means separating an overprinted region from an object constituting overprint and creating a new object, an object updating means updating a remainder from which the overprinted region is separated from the object from the original object, and an object color information working means adding color information of the overprinted object to the separated object.
