PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological sample-culturing and observing system which can selectively set various culture environments without giving loads such as outer light, stains, and the troubles of the kinds of culture solutions and samples to a biological sample such as viable cells, and can culture and observe the biological sample in set conditions with the passage of time.;SOLUTION: This biological sample-culturing and observing system comprises an incubator box 2 which can optically observably receive the cultured biological sample from the outside and maintain the inner culture environment at prescribed conditions in a state apart from the outside, an observation optical system 3 for optically observing the biological sample from the outside of the incubator box 2, a shielding means 4 for shielding outer light emitted to the biological sample and on the visual field of the observation optical system, and a supply means 5 for selectively supplying liquids or gases to the biological sample in the incubator box from storage containers for storing the liquids or gases necessary for the culture or observation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
