PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately recognize the state of diabetes by discriminating between blood components measured before and after a meal. PSOLUTION: Whether or not an operation switch 7 for the time of a meal is operated by a subject is judged by a main control part 36, and when the operation switch 7 is operated, elapsed time from the point of time is measured by a clock function part 8a. When an operation switch 6 for starting measurement is operated after the operation switch 7 is operated and the blood components are measured by a blood component detection unit 5, blood component relating information relating to the measured blood components and the time information on the elapsed time measured by the clock function part 8a are displayed on a display panel 11. Thus, by operating the operation switch 7 for the time of a meal at the time of having a meal, the blood component relating information such as a blood sugar level in the elapsed time from a mealtime is recognized and thus the state of the diabetes is accurately recognized.
