STRUCTURE FOR REDUCING GROUND VIBRATION CAUSED BY VERTICAL VIBRATION OF GIRDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for reducing ground vibration caused by vertical vibration of a girder of a bridge, which contributes to reduction of the ground vibration around a pier, caused by traveling of vehicles, without increasing the weight of the girder, and solves the difficulty in setting work, and to provide a method of minimizing the ground vibration.;SOLUTION: According to the structure 3 for reducing the ground 2 vibration caused by the vibration in the vertical direction V of each girder 1, the girder 1 is borne by elastic rubber bearing bodies 5, 6 mounted on the pier 4, in a seismically isolated manner. Further in order to damp vibration in the horizontal direction H of the pier 4, caused by the vibration in the vertical direction V of the girder 1, a dynamic damper 8 is arranged on an upper surface 7 of the pier 4 per se.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
