PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to speedily and easily reproduce audio data from a position that the user desires in terms of contents by recording index information while relating it to the contents of the audio data.;SOLUTION: Audio data inputted from a microphone are recorded in an audio data storage part and a sequential speech recognizing circuit recognizes words. It is judged whether prescribed speeches "word A" to "word E" that the user stores in advance are recognized (step S203) and when the "word A" is recognized, an index code IC-a indicating the presence of the "word A" is stored in the audio data storage part at a place where data of the "word A" are recorded (step S205). Index codes for other words "word B" to "word E" are similarly stored. For reproduction, an index code is retrieved and skip reproduction of the audio data is performed from the position where the "word A" whose presence is indicated with the index code is recorded.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
