PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display apparatus chart capable of accurately aligning respective pixels of respective color light valves, a projection type display apparatus for projecting the projection type display apparatus chart, a pixel aligning method in projection type display, and the projection type display apparatus where the pixel alignment is performed with the method. PSOLUTION: Light emitted from a light source is separated into a plurality of color light beams, and color-separated light beams are made incident on the light valves arranged according to a plurality of colors. The chart for aligning the pixels of the light valves arranged according to the plurality of colors are emitted from the light valves arranged according to the plurality of colors, and then, projected on a screen through a projection lens. Among the pixels of the light valves arranged according to the plurality of colors, light from at least some pixels among the plurality of pixels adjacent to the pixel corresponding to the chart is projected on the screen through the projection lens with intensity different from that of the chart.
