PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen flicker reducing circuit, an image processor, and a screen flicker reduction control method that reduce a flicker of graphic display without lowering vertical resolution and is free of burying of a graphic even when video and the graphic are close in luminance to each other for a display circuit which superposes graphic data of characters, lines, etc., on a video signal and outputs the resulting signal to an interlaced type CRT monitor device. PSOLUTION: The screen flicker reducing circuit is equipped with a palette memory 27 which compares pixel data at an arbitrary display position with adjacent pixel data left above the pixel to display the original pixel data when the pixel data at the display position are true, and lower the luminance of the data of the left upper pixel and display the data as data for screen flicker reduction at the display position when the pixel data at the display position are true and the data of the left upper pixel are not false.
